Cheryl Shulke at
Stash Studios recently mentioned an exhibit from the
National Museum of American History that focuses on the drawings and sketches of early American inventors, so I have to follow up on it. As an amateur inventor / product designer myself (I only have
one product on the market right now), I'm very much inspired by the engineers, inventors, and industrial designers of previous generations. In some ways - due to my lack of formal education in product design - I relate more to the old designers than to modern ones. Things were more simple then. More simple and often times more beautiful:
