Doodles, Drafts, and Designs

My friend Cheryl Shulke at Stash Studios recently mentioned an exhibit from the National Museum of American History that focuses on the drawings and sketches of early American inventors, so I have to follow up on it. As an amateur inventor / product designer myself (I only have one product on the market right now), I'm very much inspired by the engineers, inventors, and industrial designers of previous generations. In some ways - due to my lack of formal education in product design - I relate more to the old designers than to modern ones. Things were more simple then. More simple and often times more beautiful:
